Resonance and the Process of the Cure

“Resonance homeopathy – that branch of homeopathy which is not classical but chooses the homeopathic remedy based on instrumental analysis which matches the biological resonance between the remedy and the disease or the affected organ or disease.? (1)

The Vital Force has been given many names including; dosha, soul, karmic energy, chakra and such. By whatever names the Vital Force is identified; the essence and importance of the Vital Force is recognized by different races, religions and cultures around the world as an intracle and essential part of their individual and collective make up.
The Vital Force is that which brings to life the physical body and is in attunement with all vital operations, functions and constitutions of the entire being. It is the mystical power that gives the spark of life. Unidentifiable to the naked eye, and remaining unidentifiable by science, the Vital Force and its origins and limitations remain a mystery. No one really knows how life is ‘brought to life’ other than the fact that a powerful energy must be in play.
Unless the homeopathic physician clearly understands the concept and philosophy of the reasons underlying the disruption of the Vital Force (resulting in illness), the administration of appropriate remedies can not be administered with absolute competence. As illness and disease can resonate throughout body and psyche, so too can a cure. In order to arrive at a true cure the homeopath must understand the root of the disease or illness. Once all factors of the individual’s life and habits are taken into account (including environment and emotional or mental state), then the homeopath may proceed to understand the root cause of the illness and treat the patient accordingly. The disruption of the Vital Force can then be identified and rectified to achieve overall health within the formerly ailing patient.

Resonance: and How Disease Manifests within the Human Organism
As Samuel Hahnemann states in the Organon; “… medicines cure by differently tuning a person’s condition.? A further explanation implies that “… disease is a fixed posture suitably developed for a given situation that may not exist in the present circumstance. This "delusion may become the truth for an individual; thus, we must find a remedy that produces the same posture, i.e., the same delusion. For example, if a person has the posture of being attacked, then his/her life is then set up to be attacked.? (2)
Quite simply, often times we can ‘think’ ourselves into an illness or perpetuate the manifestation of disease. Constant worry, an anxious behaviour or an innate nervousness can literally bring about (or resonate) changes within the physical constitution that range in severity from a skin rash to an auto immune disease. Once the Vital Force is disrupted to a level where physical symptoms begin to manifest, the homeopath must also address the mental and emotional issues with the same vehemence applied to bringing about a physical cure. To ensure a totality of the cure one must be cured of the manifestation of disruptions within the mind and body. To peer into the mind and determine the emotional or mental influences causing detriment is to view directly the source of the illness. This is not to state that all disease is a mental process. To clarify; deeper than the constitutions and manifestations of the mind resides the Vital Force; the true source of harmonious energy … or the disruption of it. (3)
Constantine Hering, M.D. considered to be the father of American homeopathy made a series of observations now referred to as Hering’s Law of Cure Grounded in three basic observations he determined that:[ a] the human body seeks to externalize disease, [b] healing progresses from the top of the body to the bottom, and [c] healing proceeds in the reverse order of the appearance of the symptoms. These three observations are not meant to be thought of as universal laws, but as general guiding principles that help us understand if a patient's health is improving or deteriorating. (4 )

Resonance at Work – The Law of Similars and the Process of the Cure
Critics of homeopathy tend to describe the homeopath's examination of the Vital Force as well as the concept of resonance as evidence that this practice is unscientific. The Vital Force can not be seen therefore it must not exist, and yet; it is readily accepted in modern science that every organ of the body has its own daily rhythm. To further contradict the skeptics, a plethora of information is readily available through all sources of media that support theories that overall health can be affected by one’s environment, emotional attachments and relationships. The true brilliance of the law of similars is that it supports a respect for the body’s own wisdom. It teaches us to question or disregard therapies that merely suppress symptoms, as well as encouraging us to seek out treatments that justly cure. For illness to resonate from the Vital Force to the exterior of the body producing physical symptoms, the cure must resonate from the opposite order. In seeking the initial cause of the disturbance the homeopath must address each issue on all levels. Unfortunately, most conventional medical doctors treat each symptom as a common and unconnected phenomenon. In treating a skin rash of allergy the common practice is to prescribe an ointment thereby suppressing the physical manifestation; which in reality had been brought about by an anxiety attack. To understand the causation of the physical manifestation and to move back towards the core of the problem is to understand the process of the cure. When attempts are only made to rectify the physical ailment, a total cure is not possible.
Modern medicine and modern science has become more ‘profit’ than ‘personality’. In the aforementioned scenario a patient that presents with much the same rash over several occasions throughout the year could simply be treated for a ‘seasonal allergy’; when in fact with further investigation it may be determined that the physical manifestation of the rash is precipitated by periods of emotional stress coupled with anxiety. Further study may reveal these episodes occur specifically around holidays and social events where the subject is subjected to discomfort due to her poor self image in comparison with her siblings. Sadly, there is not enough time spent in the modern modalities on the inner self and the true emotional or mental disruptions behind disease and illness. To add insult to injury, pharmaceutical companies continue to make profits in the billions of dollars, paid for by a person who if were given an alternate course of action, could very well be cured of whatever ails them. Large corporations understand this fact as a matter of true economics and stall research where there is no potential for profit. There is no profit in cure. Until large companies and government agencies support the development and marketing of alternative remedies and treatments the scientific community will leave the door closed to change.

Vitalism – Is this the viewpoint we were brought up with?
For centuries medicine cabinets were full of little brown bottles with all sorts of vile and equally appealing ‘tinctures’, blended from natural sources and intended to bring about a cure for illness. As societies evolved and new technologies and ideas came to fruition, a movement towards synthetic medicines became most powerful. The Rockefeller Foundation funded the infamous Flexner Report, which eventually brought about the closure of every Homeopathic school in the United States. (5) By doing this, the large companies and pharmaceutical houses could develop their products devoid of any competition all the while realizing billions of dollars in profits. Ironically enough, at the same time in history the European countries were enjoying resurgence in homeopathy and the practice was enjoying significant growth. Following the first and second world wars homeopathy was a well revered practice and heavily relied upon by tens of thousands of people who did not have access to an allopath nor the new allopathic medicines. Great gains were made throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s as government funding was now being pumped into research and development at an amount never seen before. Immunizations against small pox over the course of thirty years had nearly eradicated the disease from the planet. With such great results and major breakthroughs occurring, a shift occurred where alternative remedies were viewed as ‘old wives tales’ and ‘quackery’.
Society has begun to rediscover that when using the laws of drug opposites and suppressing bodily symptoms this will only drive the disease deeper and deeper into the person's interior, and the cure so haughtily sought remains ever elusive. (6)
More and more we are offered support groups for critically ill and terminally ill patients, survivors and families of those afflicted. Yoga classes are over flowing as are seminars on meditation for pain management and stress relief.
Society as we know it today has been given only one hard and fast scientific viewpoint which quite simply flies in the face of the laws of nature. Current provings are finding that natural remedies get the same if not better results than pharmaceuticals, as well as causing little if any side effects or permanent damage. Within the scientific community there is only room for an understanding of the totality of profit, and not the totality of the cure, thus leaving no understanding of the importance of vitalism and its role in the process of the cure.
Vitalism is a study in harmony and balance of the human organism. In understanding the role of the Vital Force, the law of similars and resonance and the process of the cure; one can then understand illness, disease and how to arrive at a total cure. Until the day where allopathic medicine addresses the same vital forces in the natural makeup of each individual human being, allopathic medicine can not expect to cure with the efficiency and effectiveness of the art of homeopathic medicine.

"Tut, man, one fire burns out another's burning; One pain is lessened by another's anguish, … "

Sankaran defines this by stating that disease is a fixed posture suitably developed for a given situation that may not exist in the present circumstance. This "delusion may become the truth for an individual"; thus, we must find a remedy that produces the same posture, i.e., the same delusion. For example, if a person has the posture of being attacked, then his/her life is then set up to be attacked. He made three observations of the healing process which he asserted should be understood together as a unitary pattern, and homeopaths have dubbed his observations "Hering's Law of Cure." First, he observed that the human body seeks to externalize disease--to dislodge it from more serious, internal levels to more superficial, external levels. Someone with asthma may develop an external skin rash as part of the curative process. Or someone with a headache may undergo a day or two of fever and sweating as a part of their cure. A person with emotional or mental symptoms may experience different and less serious emotional or mental problems or physical symptoms during their curative process.? Dana Ullman, M.P.H. 5. “Unfortunately, homeopathy was caught in a vicious political struggle at the turn of this century. Huge profits could be seen in the development of pharmaceuticals, plastics and petroleum. The Rockefeller Foundation and others, at this time, funded the Flexner report, which essentially closed down every Homeopathic school in this country. The big pharmaceutical houses could develop their allopathic pharmaceuticals with literally no competition from homeopathy or anyone else for that matter. Ironically, homeopathy was enjoying significant growth in the European countries while being destroyed in this country due to rotten politics and gluttonous appetite for more money.?
